There are six tariff zones which define the price of gas from suppliers for large consumers. \r\n\r\nZone 1 is where cities are close to gas distribution centers like Lyon. Conversely, zone 6 represents the towns furthest from gas distribution centers like Beaumont. \r\nDepending on your annual gas consumption, you need to know what class you are in. This is a specific point to study, because it determines the type of rate you should subscribe to to save money. \r\n\r\nGas suppliers categorize customers into 4 different classes: \r\n- \r\n
- the smallest consumers are in the Base class which corresponds to consumption between 1 to 1,000 kWh per year \r\n
- Households that consume between 1001 and 6,000 kWh per year are class B0 \r\n
- Class B1 corresponds to those who consume between 6,001 and 30,000 kWh per year \r\n
- The largest consumers, the B2I class, consume between 30,001 and 300,000 kWh per year \r\n
