Volodymyr Zelensky calls for 'accelerated' arms delivery after deadly Russian attacks
Volodymyr Zelensky calls on its allies to face the Russian threat
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, called on his Western allies to speed up the delivery of weapons to his country after the death of seven people in Russian attacks. According to him, international armed assistance is necessary to effectively fight against Russian aggression.
Deadly Russian attacks
Russian armed forces have recently intensified their attacks against Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of several civilians and military personnel. The latest bombing left seven dead, further accentuating the tension between the two countries. In response to this situation, Volodymyr Zelensky asked its allies to provide weapons to Ukraine so it could defend itself against Russian aggression.
“Accelerated” delivery of weapons requested
Faced with the scale of the Russian threat, Ukraine has requested an “accelerated” arms delivery from its allies. These new weapons should allow the Ukrainian army to better defend itself against Russian attacks.
“Yesterday we discussed accelerating the delivery of defensive weapons by our partners,” said Zelensky during a press conference. He did not specify what types of weapons are requested or which countries are prepared to supply them.
A situation that worries internationally
The situation in Ukraine worries international authorities at the highest level. The international community is concerned about the escalation of tensions between Ukraine and Russia and calls for de-escalation.
The President's Call for Help Volodymyr Zelensky also raises questions about Ukraine's ability to withstand a possible Russian invasion. It is therefore crucial for Ukraine to receive military support from its allies as quickly as possible.
