WhatsApp outage: The problem is global but messaging owned by the META group is starting to work again
Many users of WHATSAPP around the world reported service outages this Tuesday morning, October 25. \n\nThe messaging app WhatsApp was among the sites affected by this global problem which began around 9 a.m. Paris time, according to reports from Downdetector, and which lasted until mid-morning, when it appeared that most services had been restored, but difficulties persisted in sending messages for those who were still experiencing problems. \n\nIt's not yet clear what causes these malfunctions, but they tend to occur more often than one would expect given their popularity. Perhaps increased security measures are necessary? \n\n“We are aware that some people are currently having difficulty sending messages and we are working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” said a spokesperson for Meta Platforms. \n\nRead also: Snooze: the new function on Twitter\r\n
