\n\nCycling fans were impatiently awaiting it, the Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) has finally revealed the route of the 109th edition of the Tour de France. Like every year, fans of the Grande Boucle will be delighted to return to the mythical mountains of Massif Central, of the Alps and Pyrenees.\n\n

The Route: a Tasty Blend of Tradition and Innovation

\n\nThe 2019 course promises a tough and exciting edition. It confirms the organization's desire to renew the appeal of the competition while respecting the history and traditions of the Grande Boucle. Competitors will measure themselves against the essential passes and benefit from new challenges. \n\n

The essential passage of Alps

\n\nThe Tour de France would not be the Tour without the climb of the legendary passes of Alps. Alpe d'Huez and its 21 legendary bends will not be on the program this year, but competitors will have to tackle the Col du Pré and the Cormet de Roselend.\n\n

THE Massif Central : Land of Surprise

\n\nTHE Massif Central is an integral part of the great history of the Tour de France. Even if it is not as feared as its Alpine and Pyrenees cousins, the Massif Central has often tilted the race in its final outcome. \n\n

THE Pyrenees for the Dolphin

\n\nMythical region of the Tour de France, the Pyrenees are often the scene of great exploits. The Col du Tourmalet, the highest road pass in the Pyrenees, will be the justice of the peace for this edition. \n\nThe course of this 109th edition promises great battles and great sporting moments. Between the ascent of legendary mountains and the discovery of new routes, the Grande Boucle continues to delight cycling enthusiasts. \n\n
