THE climate change risks are a growing threat to populations and the environment. Causes of climate risks

\nThe causes that contribute to climate change are varied: there is a significant part due to human activities such as industrial and automobile emissions into the atmosphere; as well as a natural influence such as occasional variations in solar activity. The largest driver is probably the anthropogenic radiative forcing associated with massive releases of greenhouse gases mainly from the industrial sector. \n

Natural causes

\nThere are various factors that can affect the global climate; not all of them are linked to human activity. The sun is the primary factor controlling the radiant flux entering the Earth's atmosphere, followed closely by volcanic eruptions and solar variability. \n\nShort-term adjustments in climate may also be due to variations in Earth's orbit and tilt. \n

Anthropogenic causes

\nThe most important human causes are directly linked to anthropogenic radiative forcing (ARF), which is mainly caused by massive releases of greenhouse gases from industries and cars. The main contributors to FRA are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). \n\nDeforestation, intensive agricultural land use, albedo and land use change also contribute. \n

Consequences of climate risks

Environmental impacts

\nClimate change will also seriously affect the environment, particularly terrestrial and marine ecosystems. \n\nThe direct and indirect consequences are numerous; some of the most important are: the melting of glaciers which modifies the hydrological regime of large rivers; falling ocean levels leading to increased coastal erosion; the disruption of food chains (particularly endangering endemic species); early flowering and widespread movement of plants and animals. \n

\nAccording to certain studies, the estimated cost of climate disasters by 2050 is expected to multiply by 20. This will have a substantial impact on the global economy, particularly in terms of covering the material, human and natural damage caused by this phenomenon. . \n\nPoverty will be amplified by loss of livelihoods, with a potential combination of destruction from floods, landslides, fires and other associated risks. In any case, there is a high probability that climate change will significantly increase the level of social and economic vulnerability. \n\nIn conclusion, Climate change is having a growing negative impact on the environment and populations across the world.
