An invitation rejected by Rebellious France and the P.S.

\n\nBusy start to a week Emmanuel Macron. After inviting the leaders of all political parties to discuss the next electoral changes, the leader of Rebellious France (LFI) and the Socialist Party (PS) declined his offer.\n\nThe reason for this refusal? Both denounce a "political maneuver" by the President of the Republic, who would seek to bring together political forces around the same table even though the general climate around the electoral question remains very tense.\n\n

A rejection which symbolizes a rise in tensions

\n\nThe head of LFI, Jeanne d'Hauteserre, declared in a press release: "we decline the invitation toEmmanuel Macron which is nothing more than an attempt to divert attention from the real political issues." \n\nFor his part, the secretary general of the PS, Olivier Faure, points out the “duplicity” of the president in the middle of the electoral campaign.\n\nThe absence of these two major opposition parties during this meeting is a challenge and marks a larger-scale rebellion against the head of state and his management of the country.\n\n

A risky strategy?

\n\nThis double rejection represents a snub for President Macron, who had not anticipated such a reaction. However, this strategy employed by Rebellious France and the P.S. does it not risk turning against these parties?\n\n“The fact of not going to this meeting could give the impression that these groups are not ready to debate and confront their ideas in a democratic framework”, analyzes a political scientist, “It is a risky strategy, given the of the next elections."\n\nFaced with the challenge posed by these variations of invitation, it remains to be seen how Emmanuel Macron will be able to bounce back.\n\nIn conclusion, these decisions Rebellious France and of P.S., undoubtedly represent a turning point in the existing political balance of power and illustrate the complexity of current partisan landscapes.\nThe rest of French political history promises to be most exciting. \n\n
