\n\nAccording to sources close to the head of state, Emmanuel Macron seriously considering launching a third citizens' convention by the end of the year. Invested with a clear desire to revitalize participatory democracy, the President of the Republic seems determined to redouble his efforts to better involve citizens in decision-making processes.\n\n

A participatory approach for a renewed democracy

\n\nThis new citizens' convention is a continuation of the President's objectives: to listen to and integrate as many opinions and suggestions as possible into the development of public policies. This represents, in a way, a response to those who criticize the supposed distance between political decision-makers and citizens. \n\nEmmanuel Macron has already initiated two citizens' conventions on major subjects: ecological transition and the fight against climate change.
