Bordeaux: An electrical incident blocks SNCF traffic in Pessac

Bordeaux: An electrical incident blocks SNCF traffic in Pessac
This Monday morning, two electrical cabinets caught fire around 5 a.m. Bordeaux, precisely at Pessac. This situation led to a disruption in train arrival and departure times. Desperate users therefore cancel their trip. On the other hand, others are patient and find out about the next hours when train service will resume. \n\n\n

The TGVs are dragging, the buses are in demand in Bordeaux

\n\n\nAfter the fire at the two electric gatehouses, the signaling deteriorated between Pessac and AlouetteFrance. For this reason, TER trips are canceled. But, TGV journeys remain intact with a long delay in the announcement of the next departure times and signaling. Traffic between Bordeaux and Hendaye, Arcachon and Mont-de-Marsan promises to be difficult. The fire was extinguished by firefighters, and the trains resumed their journey with great difficulty. Information relating to rail transport is now manual until the problem is completely controlled. \n\n\n\nRail trips between several cities canceled, others are delayed and still others are canceled. The buses then rushed in as soon as the fire was noticed to replace the trains. The electricity department is working to resolve the problem. For the moment, no precise date for the restoration of normal traffic. \n\n\n

SNCF intervenes and complains

\n\n\nTravelers are worried. For good reason, the number of trains in circulation is reduced, the speed of the TGV is restricted and trips postponed. The SNCF reassures travelers. It informs passengers about the cancellation and postponement of TER trips. Information on the TGV trip will therefore be minutes late. \n\n\n\nThe SNCF was under informed of the canceled trips, the impossibility of the undisclosed destination in Arcachon and the police who noted the malice in Pessac-Allouette. So, this then pushes the SNCF Pessac to file a complaint against the railway station's communications service. \n\nSee you soon on our site.\n
